Re: Impulse buy...

I think you should have done a modicum of research before purchase. Check the title of this thread Nick123! ;-) Oh yeah, the start/stop button - what is it actually for? I never use it! I guess out of all the things 'missing' on my car, the one I'm most baffled by is the lack of control over drivin...

Re: Kessy

I also heard that a few years ago, but then this was also featured on a piece on the One Show a couple of weeks ago featuring Matt Alwright (of Rogue Traders fame), detailing what manufacturers were doing about the problem of keyless car thefts. All of the VW group plus BMW were mentioned as having ...

Re: Rear privacy glass

I looked at adding the convenience package to my order, I had a check when I saw the additional acoustic damping "enhanced travel comfort (privacy glass and acoustic side windows) ". I had to google it and apparently is any laminated glass . Therefore its a free by product of laminated privacy glas...

Re: What home charger are you considering?

Yeah, I've had a PodPoint for a couple of years for my current car, but can't use Octopus's EV rates because our smart meter is an EON one that's not compatible :( From that I would assume that EON fitted a SMETS1 meter - it ought to be possible to request that to be switched over to the same meter...

Re: Love the car. Hate this feature!

Ah, didn't realise you'd just bought one with options already fitted - much like my Kodiaq a few years back, the deal was just too good to pass up even though it has some things that are pointless and some that are missing that I would have added given the choice. Sorry I wasn't really much help the...

Re: Love the car. Hate this feature!

I refer of course to lane assist technology. That unwanted, unasked for , intrusive, interfering tug at the steering wheel is a confounded nuisance. Didn't you specify it as part of the Assisted Drive Package Plus? Don't think it's a standard feature? And it's not in the Assisted Drive Package Basi...

I'd just get him to confirm that he's still going to apply for the Government grant on your behalf and that it's still included.

Bad deal if he says no, it's instead of...

Re: 19” or 20” wheels "that is the question"

I guess your only real option to compare yourself would be to find a dealer with a demonstrator car with 19" alloys and another with 20" alloys on an Enyaq, although you'll probably be lucky to find any dealer that would have both available to compare back-to-back. Generally if it's ride comfort you...

Re: Parsimonious ‘Toolkit’

Oh, and the tyres are Nexens by brand which I am a bit dubious about-having had tyres by the sister Sth Korean company on a Sorrento. They self destructed… Fossilnot Interesting - thank you. I'd read somewhere that the front and rear tyres were not the same width, but from the configurator, this is...
