Re: Tesla Model Y now available for order in UK

I was really looking for a replacement for my Kodiaq and the option of 7 seats in the Model Y appealed as we do use the 3rd row in our current car occasionally. We've got 11 y/o twins and when my parents visit it's really useful that we can all go out in one car rather than having to take 2 everywhe...

Tesla Model Y now available for order in UK

As the title says, I just got an email from Tesla saying that the Model Y is now available for UK orders as of today, 15/10/21, with anticipated deliveries in "early 2022". Price is quite high though - £54,990 for the Extended Range model and £64,990 for the Performance model. Not many opt...

Re: Clonky Donkey

I've tried to find a video which has the sound but can't find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Try this one from Bjørn Nyland on Youtube where he's actually testing/demonstrating the adaptive LED headlights on the Enyaq, but right at the start he indicates to pull away and you ...

Re: 100kW Upgrade - After Build

Top advice if it's your own car, but then there is the company Tesloop in Los Angeles that runs a shuttle service between LA and Las Vegas and their oldest model S has covered over 400,000 miles. Admittedly it got through 3 batteries in that time, but the original one lasted just shy of 200,000 mile...

Re: 100kW Upgrade - After Build

There are rumours that there could be a software upgrade available for the Enyaq next year that could take the max charging rate for the 80 model up to 150kW or even 175kW - the initial release of the Enyaq was deliberately conservative to check that in the real world the battery management systems ...

Re: Ridiculous waiting times

The only upside if your in a hurry is that providing you own a decent low mileage car it is likely to be appreciating - not something I have experienced much over the last 40 years of purchasing new cars privately - so providing Skoda does not increase prices the wait may work favourably from a fin...

Re: Ridiculous waiting times

Isn't it the case that Tesla aren't affected as they are recycling old chips for new cars? I have a GR Yaris on order since February for a May 22 delivery and apparently that's still on target. I'm not sure Tesla are totally immune, however they do have one big advantage in that all cars are built ...

Re: Duration from Order to Uk Delivery - Your Experience?

Interesting on your delivery date, I ordered on Monday a fully loaded 80x sportline and I was told they are looking at 12 - 16 weeks for build on them. My delivery form states April 22 so we will see. In their defence they were very up front about the issues, sales teams are very frustrated and it'...

Re: Very disappointed

And this is part of the reason I've just ordered another diesel Kodaiq - the electric technology isn't quite mature enough yet. Here's hoping for more range in a few years. No chance of any electric car managing the 535 miles I got out of a single tank in my current car driving from Somerset to Fife...
