Re: Seatbelt tensioner

Thanks EnyaqAndy - so that does imply that it's a new feature for the 85s (ME4.x I guess?).

Re: Seatbelt tensioner

Also no issues here in over two years of Enyaq ownership - I can lean forward and the seatbelt unreels as expected. It only locks if I move quickly. Might need to check with other people with more recent models though in case it's a change in behaviour since the 80s.

Re: Standard wheels on 85 edition, changed?

If there's any change to what's on the build order submitted by the dealer at the time it gets a build date, Skoda will let the dealer know. In terms of wheels, there was a period in 2021 when people were getting upgrades to 20" wheels due to a shortage of 19" tyres I seem to recall for ex...

Re: Wiper Blades Replacment

I am at one year old shortly and have had no issue with original Skoda wipers so far. Clean screen perfectly with no noise? Do you keep your car in a garage? I find that it's sunlight that causes wipers to degrade. My car is parked outside, and the original ones were starting to get a bit juddery a...

Re: Intelligent Octopus or Octopus Go

We changed from Octopus Go to Intelligent a month or so ago. The extra couple of hours of off-peak, plus getting off-peak rate whenever you plug the car in (often during the afternoon or mid-evening) does make a difference, as if you time it right, you can be cooking your evening meal using off-peak...

Re: Is it possible to display time clock whilst having l radio on?

I seem to remember this was asked a few years ago - and the best solution was to simply create a new page with just one small icon on it and slide over to that rather than your main page. At least as the software was back then, it wasn't possible to have the big analogue clock on the screen with the...

Re: Is there a dog in car setting on security ?

Yep - when you take off your seatbelt and the car shuts down, the Infotainment screen shows its 'Goodbye, Have you remembered to take your phone' message with some switches. One of these is 'Interior Monitoring' - turn that one off, then open the door and get out as normal. I use this often when I l...

Re: Parts availability due to Ukraine/Russia conflict?

I know that a lot of VW group wiring looms were made in Ukraine, and this had a big effect on all VAG brands at the start of the conflict. However they moved production to other sites and I believe should be back up to full speed now. But maybe it’s not for all things that were made in Ukraine. It’s...

Re: Poll: would you buy another Skoda EV?

I think there's a level of expectation with any purchase of a complex piece of equipment. If you go in with your eyes open having done research (download and read the manual, read and ask questions on forums like this etc.) before buying, you're far more likely to understand why it does things a cer...

No. Not sure I'd want it to either, as the detection of the key being left inside the car isn't always accurate.
