everyone should be aware of the different costs of charging - many installations are charging 75-85 pence per kwh but some places like Tesla will charge between 50p and 60p per kwh.
Its worth checking.

Re: Charging rate limited to 3kwh with ohme
As it is happening with different chargers I would suspect it's the car software that's the problem.

Re: Charging rate limited to 3kwh with ohme
Yes, I have the same issue with my Zappi charger. It appears to be the negotiation with the car and charger decides on the lower rate of charge. It seems to happen when the car/charger has been waiting for Octopus to start the charge. I can change mine by dropping the zappi into eco charge (where it...

Re: Charging only to 1.2kw
I have found a solution, but it is a pain. Switch the zappi to eco (while its charging) this will drop the rate to 1.2kw plus what ever solar is giving. Once that happens switch back to fast. This forces the zappi and car to renegotiate the speed. Mine always results in 7kw.

Re: Electroverse if you’re an Octopus Intelligent customer
Just remember the price chargers deal out is ludicrous and very variable. For instance some. Companies are charging in the 87p per kWh region while a non Tesla at a Tesla charger can get around 60p. It's worth shopping around

Re: Driving to the South of France
Many of the Tesla sites in France are open to non Tesla's, it's worth getting the Tesla app.

Re: Charging at 50% rate?
Yes. I have this problem with my Zappi charger, when started bu Octopus it will normally only draw 3.5-4.0kw. If I detect that this is happening I have a work around. The Zappi has three configurations,Fast, Eco, Eco++, the last two are all about solar charging. The last one (Eco++) is designed to m...

Re: Charging in france
There are many Tesla superchargers that will now take CCS. They are fast and cheap. Just use the Tesla app.
