Re: Update

Neither could I! It did it of it’s own accord and in it’s own-rapid-time. No noticeable changes afterwards apart from phone connectivity temporarily adversely affected and data display temporarily AWOL-both self rectifying.

Re: Update

Because your car has either had the update or is about to do so. I got the same message prior to mine updating (recently) but if the performance was restricted in any way I didn’t notice it… Apart from 24hr or so settling down issues with phone connection and data display I cannot be certain what ha...

Int Oct Go and plain Oct Go versus Flexible Oct

We have used Intelligent Octopus and/or Octopus Go for 99% of our charging requirements to date. The sub text/small print of our latest Octopus statement tells me that we could have saved approaching £500 over the last year had we been on the Flexible Octopus tariff. I am considering changing to Fle...

Re: Starting over the air updates

I got an on screen notification (not prompted or searched for by me) informing me that an over the air update was available and would be installed when the car was online and parked at home. Following that journey I searched for it and lo and behold the car was offline… I leave it permanently online...

Re: Tow bar fitting and prep

This topic has been comprehensively covered in previous posts.
My understanding is that a tow bar fitted and used EXCLUSIVELY for use with a bike rack does not need towbar prep, or a towbar permitted vin plate. You would fall foul of the law only if using it to tow.

Re: Squeaky

My 2023 VRs at circa 4000 miles squeaks-or chirrups- briefly upon application of the brakes. I am convinced that the sound is electronic in origin and emanates from inside the vehicle. It is no great problem, just an irritant that hopefully will be rectified upon servicing.

Re: Additional Charging Lead

On the basis on a single usage to date: It is branded E-S1mple (me neither) and the cable carries TUV markings implying quality compliance and suitability for purpose. It was £129.99. There are anchored plug covers at each end-one more than the cable that came with the car. The plugs are robust. The...

Re: Additional Charging Lead

H’mmm, my epod was supplied by Octopus, sans cable, as a replacement for the failed EO Minipro (both untethered). Personal preference but I think that tethered cables sometimes look a tad untidy… I credited a Christmas gift voucher to my Amazon account and shortly thereafter it threw me the suggesti...

Re: Footbrake Sound

Thank you. To me this does not sound as though it is mechanical in origin nor have I noticed it happening under auto braking.
Mrs FN states that, ‘We have never had that sound before in any car since 1967’.
