Re: Battery life while inactive

I did look up how long the battery is supposed to last while the car is inactive.. but you never know for sure until you try it. And non-electric car friends were giving me doom and gloom, so I did feel slightly wary. But - no need, it's good. And thanks Powerstar, the knee is good too and I'm progr...

Battery life while inactive

I had a total knee replacement on 24th March and was therefore advised not to drive for at least 4-6 weeks. During this time the car was in my garage and not used. It went in with 73% battery and yesterday I was able to drive for the first time since my op (30 days) - and it was still at 73%. Had it...

Re: Blue or Green?

I test drove one and it's green, kind of iceberg/arctic cold water. It was really nice but in the end I've ordered a velvet red. That way I might be able to spot it in the car park among a sea of silver and grey cars. I've had silver cars for the last 25 years and I just craved a bit of colour in my...

Had my test drive today

Skoda Enyaq 60, I liked it, and with the 7,000 euro french government assistance, trade in for my old car, and dealer discount, adding 3 packs (velvet red, parking assist and charge uplift) it came to an affordable 31,770 euros. So - I need to see about a wallbox before I can confirm the purchase. Th...

Re: Delayed Charging Timer

It occurs to me that although Skoda/VW group may not look or listen to these threads, how about YouTube influencers? I looked at many a vid including What Car, Top Gear etc etc (and some French ones as I live there) , all of which raved about the Enyaq - but never mentioned this freakin' problem. So...

Re: Delayed Charging Timer

This whole issue with delayed charging to catch cheap rates seems unbelievable. My washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer will all do a delayed start, although admittedly there's no setting an end time - nor final power fill-up percentage either. But still, it's a crucial area so I find it rid...

Re: Should I get one??

I've looked into changing suppliers before, but as I'd only save 30-65 euros a year I haven't bothered tbh. I've not lived in this house for a year as yet, so I will review it again after that as I changed to all electric cooking and had a water softener put in, which regenerates overnight about onc...

Re: Should I get one??

EDF suggests that Coût de recharge d’une voiture électrique à domicile at 12kwh/100 km is 2.3 HP and 1.4 HC. As opposed to 6 -9 for a thermic car. So the HC is certainly more attractive and I'll definitely take your advice about the wallbox. As a single woman of 60+ I often wonder if sales/tradesmen...

Re: Should I get one??

Thanks for your reply. I'm with EDF and I do have Linky and 12kva with tariff bleu (1am-7am and 12am -14pm heures creuse). I often run the washing machine or dishwasher overnight but not every night and as my daily car use isn't huge I think I could make sure not to have everything going at once in ...

Should I get one??

Hi, new to this forum, I live in France, and I've not bought the car yet! Test drive on Tuesday. I've never driven an electric car and I'm concerned more about ease of use and particularly charging as I have read comments suggesting off peak charging is problematic. Also - I don't have a wallbox, an...
