Re: Mat Watson's Carwow drive till it dies video
That Italian video is a somewhat pointless test really, not comparing like with like. Interesting that they got all of the data, but are people who are in the market for a top-spec EQS really going to reassess and purchase an Enyaq because it's a little bit more efficient? One costs £40k and the oth...

Re: ACC auto speeding.
Keep an eye out for old Severn bridge folks! Enyaq (and other cars I’ve seen) happily doing 60-70mph and then it picks up the 15mph sign that’s on the side of the bridge for mopeds (lane off the side of the bridge) and try’s to slow you to 15mph on a 70mph road. Having it happen to me once I tun th...

Re: ACC auto speeding.
Totally agree RichR - The Enyaq has excellent assist systems but they are exactly that. Regulations will evolve with technology. But that's kind of the problem - the regulation arrives in just 6 months, but the technology clearly isn't ready, especially where cars like the Enyaq will slavishly foll...

Re: ACC auto speeding.
And this highlights everything that's wrong with the EU's plan to introduce mandatory speed limiters on all newly launched models from July next year. If the tech doesn't work accurately now, what hope is there of it being 100% accurate in only 6 months from now? And anything short of 100% accurate ...

Re: Wing Mirror Logo Projection
Nice to have but a little bit less functional than normal wing mirror down-lights; the spread is quite narrow, so you’re likely to miss an awaiting dog turd, or that tenner you’ve just dropped, outside the area of the logo 😩 Also it would have been nice to have a light shining underneath the doors,...

Re: Mat Watson's Carwow drive till it dies video
I haven’t seen it yet - thanks for posting. Knowing Mat Watson however, he’s not likely to drive as cautiously as some of us might do, so there’s probably a few more miles to be squeezed out of it. By the way, he’d make a great Top Gear presenter. Better than that annoying cricket bloke! Interestin...

Re: Is the DCC worth having?
Well if you both like a "smooth cruise" then hope you've avoided the 21" Betria alloys! Look amazing, but 20"s will definitely give a smoother ride.

Re: Car security
Yes, definitely. Security of the key is the important thing now that cars are much more secure. Some makes of car have shifted to allowing you to use your phone's Bluetooth BLE functionality to unlock and lock the car (eg Tesla, BMW, Honda). But that just shifts the importance of keeping hold of yo...

Re: Car security
Almost all car theft these days involves theft of keys, or relay attacks to simulate having the key in the car. Cars really are a lot more secure than they used to be. With the need for electronics for a car to run as well as legislation changes in the 1990s, cars are electronically prevented from ...
