Re: Preconditioning via charger
So my experience is thus: If Octopus is controlling the car, and tells the car to stop charging (eg at the end of the charge session), then the car will precondition from the battery despite being plugged in. If Octopus is controlling the car, and the car has stopped by itself (eg it reached the das...

Re: Car accident and reversing sensor
I would guess the issue is that the pedestrian/cross traffic sensors are not the round parking sensors, they are a seperate square panel mounted behind the bumper near the corners. I guess this is damaged and isnt unplugged.

Re: Battery Module Recall
There was a huge recall for traction battery modules on cars made in 2021, i havent heard of anything more recent, but this could be new.
Also depends if its the main traction battery or the 12v, or something else.

Re: Battery Protection Limit
12V battery only charges when the car is in the Ready state (ie ‘ignition’ on). Some EVs will periodically connect the traction battery to charge it - but there are legal requirements to keep it isolated when the car is unattended so I assume VW decided not to implement that due to the extra testin...

Re: OVO Charge Anytime... What am I doing wrong ?.
The car stopping after a few minutes suggests that OVO is stopping the charge because it doesnt want the car to be charging yet... Does it not tell you when they have scheduled the charge to happen? My understanding is that you tell OVO a "ready by time" and OVO will then charge the car wh...

Re: Intelligent Octopus- recommended chargers
I've got an old dumb charger and have always used the Octopus Vehicle integration without issue.
If i was starting from scratch, i'd probably buy one of the supported chargers just so i had the option or using either method. I quite like the Wallbox Pulsar. Small and neat.

Re: OVO Charge Anytime... What am I doing wrong ?.
What your doing at Stage 2 is not entirely clear... At the end of Stage1, OVO tells the car to stop. At that point the car screen will show the "continue" button. Thats all entirely normal. You can achieve the same thing yourself by pressing stop in the MySkoda App. Some time later, OVO sh...

Re: Drive pedal deadband
I think the loss after leaving dealers is a calibration of some sort after dealer work, I've seen it mentioned elsewhere as something that's a sign that dealer hasn't done a test drive after work. Interesting. It was only in getting its rear camera checked (its broken), so not like they were doing ...

Re: Changing Hankook tyres for another brand
I've got Continental PremiumContact6 on the rear of mine, and the factory bridgestones on the front. Quite like the Continentals so it would recommend those to anyone, however i've noticed that some tyre models dont come in a fitment for both the front and rear. Be aware, many of the "Eco"...
