Re: Running costs
Thanks. I did wonder if that’s what was being referred to but my IO peak rate is the same as the standard tariff I believe (30p). I think the concept of a higher peak rate if you had a lower night rate ended earlier this year. For clarity my IO tariff is 7.5p night rate and 30p day rate.

Re: Running costs
Chilly .. what do you mean by this comment? “slightly increased household usage cost of now been on Intelligence”. I’ve recently moved into Intelligent Octopus and it’s has made a big difference to the running costs. Basically you can fill the car up for £4.50p and get approx 240 miles during the wa...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Setup
What charger do you have? How have you set IO up, did you configure it to the vehicle or to the charger?

Home battery - charging question
Looking at having solar installed soon and may opt for a larger battery of around 10KW now that the prices are softening. Excluding EV consumption, our daily domestic electric consumption is between 10 and 15 KW depending on whether it’s a laundry day or not. Now we have Intelligent Octopus we have ...

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Ohme Home Pro
Success! No issues with last nights charge and everything worked as expected. The instructions to follow depend on whether you are setting up IO to your car or to the Ohme charger. Mine is set up to the Ohme charger and my car is on firmware 2 something: I have no location charge schedules on the ca...

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Ohme Home Pro
Make sure the schedule is set in the Ohme app first. Then plug the car in and straightaway check the LCD screen of the charger - it should say delayed charging starting at 11.30pm, and then you know the charger is set up correctly. Yes this is where I think I went wrong! Yesterday I plugged the car...

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Ohme Home Pro
I think I may have worked out what I did wrong in my set up yesterday (I think the issue was the sequence I did things). Will try again tonight and report back tomorrow..

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Ohme Home Pro
I set the sole charging schedule on the Ohme app to add 50% charge by 05:00 am. The Skoda is set to accept charge up to 80% capacity. My understanding is that regardless of what the Ohme app tries to charge up to, it cannot exceed the max battery charge setting in the car (80% in my case). So in my ...

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Ohme Home Pro
Thanks Ken. I discovered one charging location which was Hilton Services North on the M6. Under this location I could see charge times that said 22:00 to 06:00 but these were not activated. I’ve deleted the charging location anyway now to see if that does anything. I now have nothing set up on the c...
