Re: Skoda restricting Octopus Access

Just plugged ours in and we have received the IO notification to say the charge is set up for tonight.

We have IO configured to the charger (Ohme) rather than the car.

Just to add… so your overall journey time on a long trip can be significantly longer than an ICE car because you tend to drive slower and have to stop for leccie. It’s a double whammy. If you are used to leisurely driving then it doesn’t really matter I guess.

I think the lower range in winter is reasonably well understood now however if you drive at above 70 (on a private road obviously 😉) then the range will significantly drop whatever the weather. Re: Dog friendly

We moved from the Disco Sport to the Enyaq two years ago. Plenty of room for our cocker spaniel in the back. The car feels light years ahead of the disco in terms of just about everything! That would make sense. We moved broadband provider earlier this year and I didn’t have to change anything on Ohme… actually didn’t think about it to be honest!

Re: Spare key not working even after new battery fitted

This is a bit random and please don’t take offence!

The new Duracell CR32s have a little sticker on them which must be removed. It’s actually not obvious. Just mentioning in case that’s the issue.

Re: Tips for new Enyaq / EV owner

Number 1 advice is to get yourself onto an electricity tariff that offers cheap off peak rates (Octopus Intelligent is 7.5p). Makes a huge difference to running costs and puts a smile on your face! Obviously do the maths in case your peak rate is higher but if you are able to move more usage to off ...

Re: Getting into the car when both key batteries are flat

Thanks. I bought those batteries for my daughters mini a few months ago so I’ll change them this weekend.
