Re: Getting into the car when both key batteries are flat

Mine were both on the way out too after two years; the one I use several times a day and the spare which gets used about 3 times a year! I had the batteries changed two weeks ago during the service. I was surprised that the spare also had the same issue at the same time but Skoda told me it’s always...

Re: Anti-clare only on the left mirror?

Yes, as mentioned it’s just the driver’s side which darkens along with the rear view mirror. Driving in London in rush hour, in the dark a lot, I actually find the auto-dimming of the wing mirror to be quite dangerous; if a van or something with poorly adjusted headlights is right behind you, the wi...

Re: Auto-Steer Confusion

Hi, Back in May 2021 when I was choosing, it was called Assisted Drive “Plus”. I don’t know what it’s called on current models though. It was never a full auto-steer function however…. You still have to have your hands on the steering wheel otherwise it’ll start reminding you to keep your hands on t...

Re: A quick newbie question - APP

/\ mine did the same the other day after having had an ME2 to ME3 update last week. Because I’d read about this issue here when it first arose, I knew it would be the app conversion issue. The car itself showed the correct predicted range.

Re: Intermittent overnight charging since upgrading from ME2.x to 3.x

/\ Thanks both - I’ll keep an eye on things and as suggested, I’ll maybe try the scheduling from the car instead if the issue persists. Overall, apart from this (and the well documented ‘quiet’ indicators…. I was around in the days when people were complaining they were too noisy on ME2 😂) it seems ...

Intermittent overnight charging since upgrading from ME2.x to 3.x

Hi all, I finally caved and allowed Skoda to upgrade my Enyaq last week (I’ve been putting it off, as I’ve had no issues with ME2.x and saw no reason to mess with it in the two years I’ve had it since new; they wanted to do it as part of the service etc). I’ve since had two nights where overnight ch...

Re: Charging port door

Hi - not been on for quite a while. My Enyaq went in for a 2 year service / software upgrade etc this week and they changed the “lock solenoid” on my charge port door, after it too had been getting stuck. For the last 3 months or so, (and quite possibly after it had been sat unused on our driveway f...

Re: Negative EV news

Does the battery need to be overcharged due to a fault in the charge limiting system to catch fire? New cars being delivered would be normally low on charge I would think. Low or high SOC’s could cause an issue if there’s a fault in just one of the cells (e.g. some kind of failure in the separator ...

Re: Has anyone actually seen an Enyaq on the road yet?

Resurrecting an ancient thread... sorry. I've never seen recognition from other Enyaq drivers that I'm in an Enyaq, so they were obviously too common by the time mine finally came. But today I was slowly moving through traffic on the M25, and I saw an artic silver Enyaq approaching in the next lane...

Re: Negative EV news

The thing about EV fires vs. ICE fires (on transport ships for example) is that the ships’ sprinkler system can probably cope with a burning diesel/petrol car and halt the spread beyond a few vehicles. Lithium-ion battery fires are nigh on impossible to stop once thermal runaway occurs, and the flam...
