I think this comes down to individual tastes and priorities; I find it to be a well balanced system - and what I mean by that, is that it doesn’t over-emphasise any particular part of the overall frequency response - which suits someone like myself who produces music and needs to hear every part in the manner and proportion in which I intended the production to sound like (not that I use car audio systems for final mastering but I certainly listen to pieces multiple times on long journeys, to assess what I could add or remove!)

But for some people, their priorities will be ‘loudness’ and / or ‘massive bass’ - because that’s how they like to listen to the music they enjoy. I totally get that. But yes; if you need thundering bass, then you might want to add something which emphasises that - such as a subwoofer 🔊. I suppose there are car audio specialists who will be able to advise on this.

It’s more along the lines of not having much control and the original speakers rattle and distort even on low to mid volume unless bass setting is turned down I miss the lower frequency . It’s almost like going back in time and listening through 13cm speakers with no cut off . Zero depth

You will understand when you hear it for the first time . It’s probably one of the worst I’ve heard in years zero sound stage even my 12 year old daughter commented on it unless mine has a problem just like pretty much everything else electrical . I’ve built 1000s of systems for customers and myself over the last 20 years or so from pure SPL to hi end audiophile . Coming from the first car I left standard the kodiaq with canton which was acceptable. I have various left overs I could add but would rather just await a plug and play non intrusive add on and software upgrade

Five weeks / 1800 miles in. Still not dirty enough for a wash!

Thought I’d share a few images of how they look, when they’re a bit grubby (as most images we see on this forum look like showroom / brochure shots!!)

Happy 2024 folks 🥳

Sadly after just over two years, my Enyaq ‘goes back’ tomorrow as I have moved to a different company. I thought I’d post a final picture taken today to ‘bookend’ this enjoyable journey from start to finish (the first post being photos of the same Enyaq prior to delivery). Since November 2021, I have done around 26,000 miles in this Enyaq and hope one day to get another one! (I’ll be driving in a ‘pool car’ for a while at my next company).

Happy ‘Yaq-ing folks!
