I wonder if you have the alternative unlock setting that requires two "clicks" to unlock all doors (and flap), a single press operates only the driver's door
Nope. from your signature you have a 60 which also worked with 1 push for me on 3.2

Thread revival, sorry. This was the motor mechanism for the lock on my charging flap - two year old car. Just replaced it and the flap mechanism itself (you basically destroy the surround when removing it).

My 21 plate Enyaq 80 suffered the dreaded fuel flap failure last night. 100miles of range left. Skoda Assist said they would send someone out, but as I was driving very close to dealers this morning, thought I would pop in. To be honest I was fuming at the stupid design, especially after reading all the posts regarding the problem. I’ve also not had the best experience getting other issues fixed in the past. BUT. When I arrived and explained, was told it would take ten mins to break it open. Actually didn’t have time to drink the free coffee. Done in under five minutes. So on this occasion, many thanks Marshall Milton Keynes. Excellent service. 👌 …… however. Skoda/VW, why is the design of the catch and mechanism so bad? I gather it’s a standard part used on all VAG ICE cars as well. A very well known problem?? Now I have to waste another day getting it replaced properly. Better be covered by the extended warranty??

Good service from Marshalls Milton Keynes? That's more of a surprise than anything.....! I imagine it'll be covered by the extended warranty. If not and you need assistance doing it, I'm in Leighton Buzzard and happy to help.

If you want to do it yourself, it’ll cost about £100 (mostly for the black plastic hinge/body part) and about 15 minutes. See my long post from about 2 years ago on replacing the flap unit.

My motor was a pile of rust too. Ironically the non-Skoda replacement has a much better rubber seal round the shaft than the original. I suspect that’s where the water gets in. Worth putting a bit of grease there.

Same problem recently on my nearly 3 year old 80. Phoned dealer and was fitted in the next day for the usual repair. Parts already in stock as common fault.

Was told that repeat failure, when out of warranty, would still be covered. We will see!

Very helpful suggestions. I will check my single press settings (driver's door vs all doors) as well as its unlock on approach.
Meanwhile, I changed the setting in the app to 'always unlock after charging' for AC charging only and the cable came out without any problems.
I'm not sure I'd set it to always unlock after charging. If you do that, isn't there a risk that someone could walk off with your cable if the car finishes charging when your not there

My charging flap just got stuck this morning. 1st time and the car is over 3 years old.
Called Skoda who said I needed to call Lex Autolease as the car is out of warranty.
Called Lex and 2 hours later an AA man turned up and prized the flap open. He said this is about the 30th VW group car he's had to do this with. He knew what he was doing and even said that he has a procedure for it which included cutting the lugs each side of the actuator lock to make it so it just becomes a clip to hold the flap closed until a replacement lock / actuator is fitted.
Just called Skoda and booked in for Wednesday afternoon.
Real pain as I only had 50 miles left from a trip this morning to Chesterfield and I need to go to a gig tonight in Manchester (im in Halifax) so needed to charge. Ive only just got it on the charger (only 6.5kw available) so hopefully ill get enough in by 17:00 to get me there and home.
Even though im in a Lex car, my company will pay for any repairs but ill be insisting they do it FOC given its such a known fault and there SHOULD have been a replacement fitted already during its service.

FWIW I cut the ears off the lock and just left the flap without the push to open function until I got round to replacing it. I can confirm that it’s absolutely fine at motorway speeds. The only downside is that it’s a bit more fiddly to open, and obviously it can be opened when the car is locked.

Agreed. This worked well for me. The flap looks good and stays flush closed very well. You don't really need the lock, just some fingernails to open it for charging. We only got it replaced in case we wanted to sell.
