Just got back from the Dealer....here goes...
The dealer is Marshalls in Reading, and they had their Master Technician look at the car for about an hour and a half.
Firstly they took a download of all the diagnostics for the car and contacted their technical helpdesk regarding the problem. The only suggestion from the technical helpdesk was to remove a fuse located in the glove compartment (probably relating to the ESIM but didn't tell me) leave it for 10 minutes and then replace it and see if that fixed it. Basically, 'Turn it off and on again'.
This didn't fix the problem, so the last thing they tried was to see if there were any available updates for the software, but there weren't any.
So the Master Technician has taken all the downloaded diagnostics and has passed them to the Skoda UK Technical Helpdesk for a resolution. Normally they respond within 2 hours but with 'everything that is going on' this has been extended to two days. The dealership are then going to contact me when they get a response. This may then require the car being dropped back to them for 48 hours whilst they try and diagnose the issue more thoroughly. They have offered a replacement car if this is required.
So no solution yet, but i will update this thread as and when i get any more information.
