Do your windows look like this after opening and closing them again?

It wasn’t raining when I took this photo but this is how my Enyaq windows appear straight after they’ve been closed (it had been raining an hour or so earlier).

Water immediately reforms as little droplets, exactly as you’d expect after drizzle.

It can make them quite difficult to see out of, especially at junctions. I’m having to open my windows to see (much to the annoyance of my wife !!)

Just wondering if I need to get this looked at, or if everyone’s Enyaq does this. Our knackered Qashqai clears the windows better than this.

Thanks 👍

Looks like the windows have something oily like a wax or bodywork polish on them. Perhaps it’d been washed with something including a wax before you collected it?

Try cleaning them with a glass cleaning product.

Thanks - That’s exactly how it looks - as if there’s a wax or something on them. I have already tried a couple of times with Windowleen or whatever glass cleaning stuff it is that we have.

So yours doesn’t go like this I guess?

I wouldn't recommend Wildowlene to use on your car windows as it will leave a residue behind, part of the active ingredient that allows it to be wiped to a dry shine if you're using it on household windows or mirrors.

Far better to use something that's designed for the purpose like Autoglym Fast Glass or if you really want to ensure the windows are clean (and stay that way) then get a GTechniq glass cleaning kit like this:
https://www.slimsdetailing.co.uk/produc ... -glass-kit

It will last for the life of your car on the side windows and a couple of years on the windscreen. If applied properly you can even drive in rain without needing to use the windscreen wipers above about 40mph as the airflow will just make the water stream off the windscreen.

Plenty of other options out there as well and others will have their favourites I'm sure.

👍. Thanks, I’ll look into those.
