Hi
I have had other EV’s and am finding the amount of information available on the Enyaq woefully restricted! Does anyone else feel this way?
Why can’t I see the vehicle charge history, basic stuff that is usually available in an EV!
Beginning to regret moving from the Ariya.

Hi arby56, what home charger do you use? The Ohme app has lots of detailed stats for charging and I imagine others will be the same.

Other than that you will find basic consumption data (live and historical) in the vehicle menu in the infotainment (car icon in top right > vehicle > ‘data’ in right hand menu).

Whilst there isn’t loads of info there I’ve never felt like I was missing anything between what’s available in the infotainment and the Ohme app.

I don't know if it is a case of "What you've never had you never miss", but I am happy with the amount of informaton the Enyaq provides.

Certainly for mainstream adoption I think the KISS principle suits better as I can't imagine most people are too bothered?

Might be worth seeing if you can get Home Assistant to plug the gaps?

Silly question. You have downloaded the owners manual and the Skoda app? Everything is their just a case of looking through it. Also if you have a home charger, usually the app will give you statistics.

I suppose the simple answer is that most folks dont care. The first software releases didnt even have the small panel on the instrument cluster with the "since start", "since charging" etc data! That i did find a little annoying but was fixed in one of the v3 software updates.

A typical ICE car doesnt tell you how much fuel you put in last time. Most you'll get is trip info since refuelling which the Enyaq provides.

I think there used to be a third party app which recorded a lot more data, Trionity or something? Not sure if its still around.

I would like the instantaneous read to be more readily available, though I know that technically the graph bar under the speedo mostly gives this information.. albeit in a not very translatable way. Especially as the value is available on the big screen, but that's not in eyeline. And heck, I'd like option of mini map instead of the navigation arrow, when got that on the hud - as is, I've settled on just showing the since start figures down there, and leaving navigation just for the hud, to maximise available information.

@Arby56 - Like you I expected a lot more in the IT and data category from my Enyaq when I got it in September 2022. I was initially disappointed that software development and infrastructure support from Skoda was at so much lower a level than the quality of the vehicle itself.

Over time, I came to realise that servers, databases, communications etc had never been a core skill for a traditional automotive manufacturer like Skoda or any of the VAG group. Those areas were where someone like Tesla burst in with impressive ability. However, I have also come to realise that learning the basics of automotive engineering and assembly were something Tesla had to come to terms with. Search on a few FB groups and forums and you'll find tales of badly aligned panels, ill-fitting doors on Teslas are far from uncommon.

Skoda and VAG are definitely taking much too long to provide additional software value to their vehicles. There are 3rd-party apps. The afore-mentioned Tronity https://www.tronity.io/en/home is well worth investigating. I used the free trial version for many months but, being retired, detailed tracking of journeys, charges etc wasn't a key issue to me.

Once I got over my initial disappointment about the lack of information available I came to appreciate more the physical, mechanical, electrical 'car' aspects of the Enyaq. I really enjoy it and would recommend it to anyone. I haven't done any investigation on what data/info other EV manufacturers can provide, but I'd assume this whole aspect of an EV as a software package running on four wheels will continue to develop across the industry.

Stick with it - you'll come to love it too!
