VW ID7 will have battery preconditioning!

The VW ID7 will have the ability to precondition the battery for improved charging. It looks like there will be a manual option in addition to automated preconditioning before arriving at a rapid charger. I have no idea what ID software version the ID7 is running but hopefully the current MEB cars like out enyaqs will see this at some point!

And when you arrive at a charging station the charging flap opens upwards which makes it less susceptible to damage imo.

Completely makes sense - I haven’t seen it, but I imagine it might also keep the worst of the rain off, too! Kinda always was the obvious thing to do, VW Group!!

That makes sense - I assumed it would probably be 4.0 due to the number of changes but didn’t know that our enyaqs wouldn’t get 4.0. Such is life - hopefully we’ll get battery preconditioning in 3.x at some point.
