Quick correction on my last post. I used the term on-board charger when talking about charging rate.
Of course I got my kilowatthours in a twist.
The onboard charger only relates to the piece of kit which takes in A/C current normally from your home charger and converts it to DC so that it can then be stored in the battery.
I should have said that the charging rate for rapid chargers (DC) is:
Model 60 – 50kWh upgradable to 100kWh
Model 80 – 50kWh upgradable to 125kWh.
And yes, a bit more research shows that both models always started with 50kWh DC charging as standard.
