The screenwash we get here is pretty crap and too dilute for these sub-zero temps.

You really need to get the good stuff and run it neat. Ofcourse what typically happens is your tank is half full of dilute summer mix, so pouring in neat stuff still doesnt get anywhere near high enough concentrations.

I used to buy Quantum Platinum from VAG TPS, it was a tenner for a 20L crate and was good down to -35c. High concentration methanol. A few years ago they reformulated due to some regulatory crackdown on methanol use, and they downrated it to -20c. Now its even worse and is only rated to -15c.
