Anyone know how to switch the speed sign reading off while on ACC.

The car behaves erratically with ACC ok under speed sign recognition - especially going along M1. It will suddenly accelerate to 70mph under 60mph speed limit then randomly break and drop to 50MPH or 40mph sometimes. It’s darn right dangerous on busy motorways.

/\. I agree - it is a bit naff. I regularly had similar experiences on the A3 going towards London where it is generally 50 mph but the system kept reading the 30mph signs for the parallel residential roads and slowing the car to 30 !!

Unfortunately I don’t have my Enyaq anymore and I can’t remember the exact steps to disable this, but there is definitely a way to make it ignore speed limits and let you set the max. speed manually. I’m fairly sure I accessed the menu for disabling it, from this button here.

Thanks. Came across these settings. Didn’t know what preview meant.

Will try waiting it off when I am on the same stretch of road again.

Just turn both options off. One can brake suddenly for speed limit on adjacent road, or even accelerate to 100 if it sees a 100km max speed sticker on a lorry!
The other causes the car to slow down far too much and too early for perceived hazards such as bends and roundabouts ahead. I prefer to decide myself what speed to slow to and it’s easy to adjust for hazards such as bends and changes in speed limit with the stalk in 5mph or 1mph increments.
