I got word from my dealer yesterday evening that production over the Christmas period was significantly disrupted (we knew they shut down production until the 11th of Jan, so that’s no big surprise) and as a result our delivery has been pushed back from the end of January to the end of February. Fingers crossed there are no more schedule changes.

It's also worth knowing that Czechia has a seriously high level of Covid at the moment, with a lot of people off work. This will almost certainly have an effect on estimates of production schedules as it makes it very difficult to know how many cars they can actually build, even if all the components are available. There's also been a resurgence in Covid in Malaysia, which is affecting semiconductor production again.

Looks like it's a Happy New Year present for me. AT least they might have got the phone app working a little better by then

Wow, if I was quoted that figure I wouldn't have ordered. We all know about the chip shortage BUT 1 year for a mass market car to be produced is crazy , so many new EVs will be coming into the market.

With all the problems I keep reading on the enyaq Facebook pages with regards to the app not working, really poor range I'm wondering if we just stick with our Kodiaq as the family bus. It's fully paid up.
I was thinking about waiting for the demonstrator models to start coming available, but with the spec being so customisable it could be even longer before you can find one with the spec/colour you want so I bit the bullet 7 ordered a new one instead. Never had a brand new car before so I'm prepared to wait.

So I was in my local dealer again today and was chatting to the salesman I've been dealing with when I placed the order for my new Kodiaq (ordered 2 Oct 21, build week 10 allocated, expected delivery late April/early May). I had a good look around the brand new Enyaq 80X Sportline they've just got into their showroom and without any prompt he told me that they are now quoting 52 weeks for delivery on any new orders for the Enyaq, regardless of model.

Doesn't look like the situation will be getting better any time soon - if anything, it's getting worse!

Best of luck and hope the experience of getting a new cars is a fantastic process for you, easy to take it for granted when you've had a few. That feeling of turning up in the showroom with a new shiny car is a nice feeling . Hopefully it will come quicker for you

Hi Nick, just ordered my 60 in energy blue, with not many 'add ons' so I won't require many 'chips' .
My dealer states a provisional delivery time of 52WEEKS!!
But due to my spec says it may well be delivered earlier, I wait in anticipation.... I'll keep you posted.
