Congratulations! Now you can put the knowledge gained from your avid reading of the user manual to enjoyable, practical use. Have fun.

Indeed 👍. Have fun and give it time to grow on you; the first few hours after I got mine, I wasn’t that excited by it, especially having to get rid of a Beemer at the same time. That was before I drove it anywhere. Now if someone said they’ll give me a brand new 5 series in exchange for my Enyaq, I’d say Get Lost !!!

Conveniently I've actually got next week booked off work (using up holiday days before year end), so a whole week to drive it around and play with all the menus :) And I do mean _all_ the menus :D

And I’m really happy that it is here at last

So it will be just over 5 months, 20 weeks for delivery

Unrelated to Skoda or the Enyaq, but I was in the Dorchester Mercedes-Benz dealership today getting my wife's car serviced and they didn't have a single new car in stock. Not a one! All the cars in the showroom were approved used and mostly 3 years old or more. First dealership I've ever been into that had no new cars!

I think a lot of dealerships have sold off all their stock and display cars. Demand is so high and order to delivery times are unknown or really long.

How are some cars so much quicker on delivery than others. Ordered my company car back on 10 May, dates keep getting pushed back with the current estimated delivery being end of January. Having seen this slip from end Aug to Sept to Oct then early Jan I'm no very confident I'll see it at all next year.

Are other having any similar waits. Its a 60kw nav loft.

It’s almost certainly down to the availability of semiconductors and the modules that use them being physically available at the factory. If your car uses something that is in short supply it might get pushed back a bit. For example Family Pack seems to have been a problematic one in September. Also all the car manufacturers have made no secret that they’re prioritising delivery if higher value cars because it means their dealer networks are at less risk of losing money. Hence my Sportline 80 with quite a few options (and no Family Packages or sunroof) probably went through quicker than a Loft 60 with some of the options that were in short supply.

Just for people's information I had an interesting discussion with my Skoda dealer the other day. Apparently dealerships are getting notified that some vehicles are completed and en route to ferry port, on the ferry etc rtc. However they do not get that detail on all vehicles. Apparently the first notification they get on seem vehicles is "its now in the UK" having previously been "awaiting semiconductors". Apparently there is no rhyme or reason as to which vehicle gets detailed info and which don't. So, if you're expecting your vehicle soon, and there seems to be no update, don't lose heart, it could well be on the way already
