Just introducing myself I’ve ordered an

85x sport line plus with max pack and additional heat pump in artic silver.

I’ve ordered it through arval (who are crap) and got a 4.5 month lead time which I expected.

I’m excited to get it now but my first ever EV so looking for some advice

What’s the best charger to get installed?

How low should you run the battery before charging? (Should I just plug in every night and let it top up or wait till it’s down to like 10%?)

Should I only ever charge to 80%? If I’m planning on a long trip should I got to 100?

Also keen to hear anyone’s top tips or unexpected experiences?

Simplest way to think about it is if you need 100% then charge to 100%. If you dont need it, then charge to 80.

As for when to recharge; i would say dont run it very low for no reason, if your just dodging about town you might think about charging when its in the 30-40% range. If your on a longer trip or need to run it down low to get back home or to the next charger, then go ahead.

Similarly dont charge it up for no reason, if its at 70%, theres no point charging it to 80 if 70 is plenty for your next days use.
