extended warranty?
Yes I feel the same. I know the batteries are covered for 8 years but it’s the motors and electronics that I’d feel nervous about. Saying that, I the car has been great. I’d imagine that we will probably sell the car next year and get another EV so having some warranty left in it may also help provide comfort to a new owner.

My car is 3 years old in November and I can now research the Extended Warranty on the Skoda website
1 year cover, 27168 miles, £100 excess
quote is £194
BUT this does not include Skoda Assist, that has to be organised separately by contacting the AA so it may be cheaper just to get separate breakdown cover
Edit to add
Motoreasy quote £58 per month
ALA £393

I'm still on the fence with similar quotes. My main concern is the list of exclusions in the so-called "All component" cover.
Especially concerning was the entry about the sat nav and "associated equipment" and the in car entertainment systems... especially given how glitchy the infotainment system has been...
Also "interior trim" seems quite vague and all encompassing, especially when there are known faults with things like the roof console.
And the first point about Airbags and wiring looms...
200quid though does seem cheap enough that its probably worth it.

My car is well within the warranty period but last time I researched it was £400 for extra 3years against battery. Tho the wear level is 70% I think it was with warranty wise or similar.
I don’t know if it is worth covering the car mechanically once outside the 4yr manufacturer warranty. Anyone got any thought that this?

4 years manufacturer’s warranty ? - mine is only 3 years. Rather annoying the car has to be within 30 days of the warranty expiry date to get a quote. If it’s around £200 and, despite the myriad of exclusions, probably worth imo, so as mine is almost at its 3 year anniversary and only covered 18,000 miles it’s a cheaper option than replacement! I’m inclined to extend.
IV60 Quartz Grey, suite, panoramic sunroof, parking basic, climate plus pack, comfort seat basic, drive sport, chrome pack, transport pack, assisted drive plus and 20” Vega wheels. ME3.7 upgrade.
I have opted to extend my warranty with Skoda at £194
All others I looked into where vastly more than this and at least (I hope) Skoda should be easier to deal with as it is their own brand.
I am looking at AutoAid for the breakdown cover, it is recommended by Money Saving Expert and has good reviews. It is one where they contact a nearby garage, you pay them and then claim the money back. It is £57.28 for a couple so when my wife's MG is due its next service I can opt not to go to the MG garage as we had to go with MG garage to retain free breakdown cover. This price is UK only though so still on the fence really. Still to contact AA/Skoda Assist to see if they do a deal
Still have time to change my mind if better options are spotted.
Having just seen another thread I need to save my money for a 3d printer

My car is on a 4-year PCP and just getting to 3 years old. Has anyone taken an extended warranty, is it expensive or worthwhile? I cannot get a quote as have not hit the 30-day requirement and the dealers are not interested.
It would not have been an issue if the car was petrol or diesel but have had a couple of warranty issues already.

Just opted to extend my warranty- £213, for 12 months with no excess. My Enyaq has covered 18,000 miles and the extended warranty is for a further 10,000 miles. As has been said previously this does not include roadside assistance, this is costing £6.50 per month with the RAC, including home cover.

I extended the warranty on my 60 enyaq at the end of the 3 year warranty period in Oct 24. 36K miles on the clock. Warranty for 1 year cost £220 with 15K miles and no excess. Did not think this was too bad. Did it direct on the Skoda website.
