Really quick question here. So went to an underground parking place in Newcastle the other day. The roof for the place is quite low and I’m sure the boot would hit if I didn’t intervene the other day does the boot automatically detect a Low roof or not? I nearly forgot this time.

Open door fully where you have sufficient clearance, then lower it with button which you hold in until audible warning affirms that's the new maximum height. HTH.

It will stop if it hits something, but it doesn’t have any extra sensors to detect things before it hits. As above though, you can set the maximum opening height - see the manual for instructions.

I had the same in the Gateshead Hilton underground car park, boot hit a concrete roof beam, luckily no damage.

Depends on the car. Some newer models have sensors that detect low ceilings and stop the boot from opening fully. But many don’t. If yours doesn’t, you might need to manually stop it from opening all the way.

I think you can set the maximum height that it will open. But then it always opens to that height...

Just stand by it as it opens and grab it if it gets near - it will stop.

I thought so much. Oh well I’ll just stand and panic frantically as I’m
Pressing any button I can find 😂 problem is the one on the boot you can’t get your hand in quick enough lll as you can’t see it to stop and the key fiddly lol. It’ll be reet. Yeah the gate in Newcastle has some right low ceilings.
