We bought an 80 Iv Suite rather too hastily. One of the plus points that attracted us-me rather than her-to the car was the fact that Skoda promote the car as having a reasonable towing capacity of 1200kg. (The dealership has today reiterated this by email.) It is my understanding that many other electric cars have a zero towing capacity whether braked or unbraked. The newly minted V5C from the DVLA arrived by post on Tuesday. It shows that the max permissible braked towing weight is 1000kg (blue section of the V5C Vehicle Details subsection O. 1:) Should I ever get pulled over and required to proceed to a weighbridge I know which figure they’ll do me on!
So my query is, what does your V5C show? Anybody got theories as to the discrepancy?
Cheers,

Fairly sure the 1200kg limit only applies for the twin-electric motor versions (i.e. iV80x and vRS models, when they come).
RWD cars (iV60 and iV80) have a 1000kg limit.

although I couldn't find anything official on Skoda's own website.
