Battery Protection Limit

So I seem to have fixed this…
But did three things and not sure which has actually fixed it.
Not a single message overnight - car worked as normal this morning.
1. I cleared 27 DTC in the gateway module - some of these were strange and linked to time. Is everyone the same in that this has only happened since the clock change? I doubt it’s this but there was DTCS about the time not being correct or synced. There were DTCs about LV systems, and HV also - some of these are on this list for id4 as should be ignored. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/ ... 8-0001.pdf
2. I changed the time set on the charger to fully overlap with the timer charge of the charger. Ie the car is set for a wide range. This is pretty standard but I’ve also had it the way it has been before without issue.
3. I switched off pre-conditioning as being a setting switched on the charger. I noticed from the charger logs that it was pre-conditioning in the middle of the night for no reason - I think this was the car asking for power to charge the 12V.
I think 1 fixed it so will put 3 back to how it was tonight, and if still good, tomorrow night 2 back to how it was also and go from there.

Enyaq 85 edition. version 4.0
Had this issue this morning.. Went to preheat the car after a charge up to 80% last night and got he message on App to say I can because of the battery protection. Also, took it for a little drive and had all sorts of warnings flashing up, but then cleared after a mile or so.
Is there really any point speaking to a local dealer ? Just to have the hassle of getting the car to and from there for a day, messing with courtesy cars, just for them to say there is no issue..
Reading all the responses on here, it does seem to be either poor 12v batteries installed or issues with battery discharging when car is idle. Very poor really.

How do you complete point 1? Do you need special equipment or software?
I know if I take this to a dealer they’ll just not do it.

As an update I had a 2 hour commute this morning and within 1 hour of parking up the low battery warning has come on again. I’m at a loss as it should’ve charged up on the journey. Surely it should hold charge for longer than that, unless there’s massive parasitic drain.

Since doing this - the car is parked at work and is still showing as fine in the app and it’s -2’c outside.
To do step one you need a OBD dongle…
Can either be the obdeleven dongle and app,
but I actually think clearing the DRCs is better with car scanner app - which I use with the carista dongle which is or was cheaper.
I strongly doubt the 12v needs replacing.

Same here
Plugged in last night charging. No app or keyless entry, 50 mile trip this morning and the same when I arrived at work
Spoken to every possible SKODA contact and even on all Social platforms and all useless. Booked in at dealers next week (which will be a waste of time no doubt)
Had to wait for coutesy car etc etc. Not sure how the diagnostics will work as I have the app and wont be at the garage.
Even e mailed https://www.youtube.com/@electrifiedspeicher to see if Matthias has any other users experiencing this.
Theres a fundamental floor somewhere and its boiling my pi*s
Above - complete jargon for me unfortunately RE: 27 DTC in the gateway module

I charged the 12v battery fully last night and features are still disabled so it certainly appears to be a software issue. My app appears OK (like yours EnyaqAndy) however when i attempt to enable remote heating i get a message "Remote car control - near battery limit". Have you tried to start remote heating?
I know this isn't true as the battery is fully charged by CTEK charger. It seems Skoda need to release an update this software bug. I wonder if Skoda have pushed an update recently that has a bug, hence the reason why everybody is suddenly experiencing this problem.

I have contacted Škoda who have emailed and are suggesting that the issue may be with my phone. I tried to explain on the phone that I am measuring the voltage of the battery using a multimeter and it is discharging but they are more interested in what phone I have. The suggestion was to ignore the warnings and keep using the app. I explained that you can’t use the app due to the battery protection limit but they don’t quite get it. They also didn’t quite get that the battery actually IS in a low state of charge and that the keyless and welcome lights are all disabled.
I’ll email back to Škoda but they seem transfixed that it’s a phone issue and the car is unaffected. They also say they have received only one other report of this happening. I called the number 0333 003 7504 to report the issue.
