Now getting this issue almost daily. I have been trying to get it booked in with a dealer for almost a week, online booking, online chat and even Skoda customer services. The dealer doesn't answer the phone or reply to left messages. It almost seems like they don't want the car in to be looked at.

Literally drove 110 miles in 4 hours and had the protection limit within 2 hours of being home and unable to use the app.

They escalated the problem back to the Skoda development as a level 3 problem (I don't know what that means). Anyway....they have now instructed me to book a service time at the garage to have it fixed. Skoda wanted me to book a time no earlier then a week from now - so probably they are sending the garage some parts...
That’s what they said to me. I got it booked in and “fixed” but the problem returned next day.

I’m waiting to be booked in yet again after the problem was allegedly fixed (came back the day after). The car does this on a daily basis, haven’t been able to use the app at all. Bloomin useless.

I don't get the push notification anymore...but it still doesn't work to turn on the heater with the app. Now the app complaints about the car being "offline". Seems like Skoda changed something on the server side to not send out the push message all the time (even though the problem it's fixed).

I'm in the same boat on this....love everything else about the car but this 12V battery issue is driving me nuts. As others have said the app is useless and given the time of year it's preventing me pre-heating which doesn't help my range efficiency. Car is booked into the dealers end of January.

After getting a 12v gel battery I would say that it works a lot better. Perhaps not perfect.....but a lot better even when it's -10 to -20c.

Have you had any issues activating the remote heating or issues with keyless entry since replacing the battery?

Whoops - realised you already answered my question in a previous post - I can see you’re still having trouble with remote heating.

I want to share my experience: my car died with a falt12V battery just before Christmas. The AA revived the car, but since then, I've been receiving a "battery protection" message almost every time the car is left open for more than 2-3 minutes. Yesterday (January 8th), I visited the Skoda dealer. They checked the car and didn't find any problems. From their perspective, everything is working as it should. The technician mentioned that there is a controller in the car (near the 12V battery's ground terminal) that monitors the 12V battery's condition and will charge it from the main battery if needed, even when the car is parked and closed. However, he couldn't explain why the car died with a flat battery. The funniest thing is that I received that same "battery protection" message at 11:03 while the car was at the dealer and they were doing something with it. The dealer's recommendation was to remove the car from the app, delete the app, add the car again, and monitor the situation. I tried to argue and explain the situation from a user's perspective, but they didn't seem to care. Honestly, I feel confused and disappointed.

Now it is cold, my 85 Edition is doing this all the time, so I can't preheat the car. Disables the boot lights, welcome lights and keyless entry (useful when you are wearing gloves) too. You know, all the things that are handy when it is cold and dark in the morning...

Very disappointed. My old 60 never had this problem in the winter. I will contact the dealer, but don't expect much help as it is clear there is an issue they have no idea how to fix right now.
