Random symbol on dashboard

Can anyone confirm what this symbol means? (Much harder to search for symbols than text in the manual!)

Seems to come on initially when I drive in the dark so I think it's related to the lights?

Hi - this is telling you the emergency assist systems are still initializing i.e automatic braking to avoid an accident. You will only see this for a couple of seconds as you set off, then it will be ready to go.

Ideally you won’t require it in the first few moments of setting off!

Many thanks - it kind of makes sense now when I look at the icon. Hour glass for it still loading is even there!

Although this does mean I often pull off my drive into traffic with the emergency assist systems not yet initialised!

I think I've had this when the front grill is frozen so the sensors aren't working!

No, that’s an orange symbol as it’s a warning. White is for information. Also accompanied by text saying front assist is restricted.
