Hi, I'm about to have had my Enyaq for 3 years, so am getting emails about Skoda connect and warranty.
Advice please on what I should renew pay for, I'm not sure what I will loose:
- I don't find the navigation app great, I often use Google maps on my phone instead, but like to see the map and sometimes the traffic.
- I don't use the app much - but sometimes connect to defrost the car, or to check on battery status.
- I have used Skoda assist quite a lot - both with roadside assistance (always punctures) and some problems with the car (charging flap stuck shut).
If I pay for the extended warranty do I get access to Skoda assist? Is this better than just using green flag (or similar).
Will I loose all use of the app?
Input appreciated. Thanks in advance.

3 year actions
When I got to the end of my 3 years, I'd already placed an order for a new Enyaq, so didn't bother renewing Infotainment online, breakdown cover or warranty. I figured it'd only be a few months and I can live without those. I'm currently two months past the 3 year point (and hopefully new Enyaq vRS will be delivered at the end of next month).
On the navigation, you will lose live traffic and charger status, so it won't be able to tell you and plan diversions etc. But if you're using Google maps, you'll get the same functionality there.
App still works fine - that's in the package that expires after 5 years I think.
I've never used Skoda Assist, but you will lose the breakdown cover. I suspect you might still be able to speak to someone though if you need to. I have separate breakdown cover anyway.

I took out a Skoda extended warranty last year and can confirm it does not include breakdown cover - I brought RAC home cover. I believe Skoda Assist is provided by the AA anyway. I also had to renew Infotainment Online and Care Connect - Remote Access. From memory the total cost, excluding breakdown cover, was around £250, which for the peace of mind is reasonable imo.
