Screen wash and polycarbonate
Just read in the manual that you should “only use washer fluid that does not attack polycarbonates”. Couple of bottles of cheap screen wash in the garage which don’t say either way. Is this like saying “don’t use leaded petrol” (basically a non-issue because none of it is anyway) or are there good reasons to find a fluid that explicitly says it’s safe for polycarbonate?

Good luck with finding a screen wash that specifically says that it's safe for polycarbonate, none that I've looked at say so.
Personally I've been using ... https://www.halfords.com/motoring/motor ... 89163.html ... and so far I've had no problems from using it.
I expect there will be recommendations from others.

Not had an issue in three and a bit years using Halfords green citrus stuff. I suspect that none really aren't safe for polycarbonate, given pretty much every car since the early 1990s has had polycarbonate headlights.

I'm a fan of Prestone Screen Wash. BUT I can not see any mention of polycarbonates.
