As a new Enyaq driver with just over 1000 miles on the clock in my IV60, I have found that on my daily commute (90 mile round trip) I am achieving 4.0 miles /KWh as it is mainly A roads with not many roundabouts or hills etc, and on my Motorway long trips using ACC at 70 mph it is coming in around 3.7 miles per KWh. This equates to 232 or 214 mile range; This is based on outside temps of 10-20 degrees C so would expect that to drop in colder weather. I run in ACC & ECO mode most of the time. Hope that helps?

My IV60 has 800 km on clock and reports 15.3 KWh per 100 km giving a range of 370 km all on rural roads at the speede limit of 80 km/h with some 50 limit driving most low 20's c.

I'm also getting a steady 3.6 m/KWh _average._
But I've had several trips over 200 miles and I've never charged over 90% or gone below 10%. I reckon if I was going on a really extended trip and charged to 100% before leaving, I could get 220 miles with enough left over to not panic about running out before reaching a charger.

So my journey today was mainly on dual carriageways and a motorway hovering around the national speed limit ;)
Hopefully this gives you an idea of range and economy. I had 40 miles of range left when I got home.

As a rule of thumb , I add 50% to my journey , so if I’m doing a 40 mile trip I wouldn’t set off unless I had at least 60 to 70 miles of range . I’ve recently done a long motorway trip and found anything over 55 or 60 mph uses a lot more than the cars average 4.0 miles per KWH

As the iV80 weighs c.120kg more than the iV60 I assume the iV60 should be showing a better miles/kWh? Does real life show this?

Theoretically there should be a small gain, though the smaller motor on the 60 might be less efficient under some conditions (or it might be more). However there will probably be too many other factors in the real world so make comparisons difficult. For example drivers like me are probably 50kg heavier than some drivers and might have 30kg of stuff in the boot - making the weight difference a lot less. Or maybe people will have options that add weight (leather seats, sunroof etc). I reckon on average they’ll both work out about the same as 120kg really isn’t much.

It is just that when I worked for a car manufacturer we had to register any design change effect on weight down to the gram, as it could effect the WLTP efficiency. Therefore 120kg is a huge mass to register.
Am looking forward to getting hold of my iV60 to put the theory to the test…

/\ Yes, interesting point and I’m beginning to wonder how much range benefit the larger capacity of the ‘80 actually gives, considering the extra weight associated with more batteries, wider rear tyres and possibly a heavier motor.

In the UK, there has been a significant difference in cost so far, given the ‘60 qualifies for a £2500 grant (whereas the ‘80 doesn’t). I think a ‘60 is around £6500 cheaper than the equivalent ‘80.

…and I changed my order from a high spec ‘60 Suite to a low / mid spec ‘80 Loft for the same price. Grrrr !!

Personally I’m hoping that the ‘80 will consistently deliver at least 50 miles more range than the ‘60, all seasons (even a ‘60 with a heat pump) - otherwise what’s the point of spending so much more on an iV80 ?! Time will tell !

For me in France there was really no choice - Grant of 7000 Euros (now 6000) with the 60, Nothing with the 80.
