2 adults, 1 4yo, 1 baby. Fully loaded boot, and 2/3 full 400L roof box.
Car charged to 100% stating unrealistic 231 miles range at point of leaving house. Journey was about 2/3 motorways driven at 62mph on CC, then windy Exmoor lanes. Arrived at holiday house in Devon with 61miles range left on dash, and having driven 130 miles. Therefore on for 191 at that point. Not bad all things considered with weight and air drag of roof box.

The most remarkable thing about this tale is that you managed to achieve 62mph at all on the M5 anywhere between Bristol and Exeter!

I was heading the other way a couple of weeks back and it took me 3 hours to get from Taunton to Gordano services...!

You aren't wrong, it was very stop, start until well South of Weston super mare. I stopped at Sedgemoor services, and both ecotricity units were in use! Thankfully I didn't need them

Also did our first longer drive last week...London to Bristol and back. Went from 100pc charge to 45pc one way.

Got a free granny charge back to 100pc from the hotel so a very cheap run!

We have an 80 so well within range but good to see it in real life at motorway speed. We saw a range difference of 1.3 ish miles capacity used for every mile of range predicted at 70mph. Sorry I didn't take more accurate measurements from the system info...

Coming home, this time more time on A roads, and a slow grind up the M5. Again car and roof box loaded.
Left with 91% home with 42%, 117 miles covered, with 101 still projected. This is super impressive if that prediction had gone on to be correct

Just did my first long-range trip in my 60 from North Wales to Rugby Moto services and back (had to pick some people up). Started with 100% charge and a predicted range of 240 miles, presumably based on my recent driving (around 3.8 to 4.0 mi/kWh). Journey was a bit slow, with lots of traffic, but didn't sit in any queue, just bouncing around between 40-65 on the ACC according to the overhead gantries around Birmingham on the M6. No complete stops, but near enough around the M5 junction. When in the clear, kept it at 65 on the ACC, and reached Rugby after 112 miles, 4.0 mi/kWh average, and with 53% left on the battery according to the app.

Topped back up to 87% battery. Return journey a fair bit quicker - roads clearer, with more time spent at 60-65mph, and a few more "buckets of volts" accelerations away from the roundabouts around Shrewsbury. Home with a final average for the round trip of 3.8 mi/kWh, 225 miles done, and 34% left on the battery. So given I put +34% on at Rugby (20kWh), that's an exact 100% mixed usage range of 225 miles, and the average consumption seems to match this too: 3.8 x 58 = 220 miles.

The initial prediction of 240 miles was perhaps a tad optimistic, but there was no way the car would know I was going motorway driving today. Fundamentally it looks like you can trust the range on this car under these "summer" conditions anyway by not getting too excited on the motorway. I have no doubt had I done the whole journey at A-road speeds, I would have reached that 240 miles range.

My only annoyance is that despite the chargers allegedly being 350kW ones at Rugby, and me having the 100kW charging option, I still only maxed at 42kW charging. Will give the dealer a call about that on Monday - not happy having paid for something which didn't actually work. And it wasn't the chargers - an ID.3 nearby was showing 72kW.

I didn’t know this, but at least according to the ‘Nobby on Cars’ video I shared yesterday (where he interviewed an Enyaq owner) it appears the car might only pull the higher charging rates when nearly empty.
