Wireless charging

Just had mine in the garage as I thought it should have both sides wireless but it is just the drivers side as mentioned in the cars handbook. I thought it was both. Mine was in garage as the lumbar handle and a piece of seat trim had fallen off.
I tried the 20mm added to the bottom and it didn’t work for me
I have just reduced it to 10mm and it seams to work now (at first attempt anyway)
Fingers crossed it will keep working
This has been really Annoying because 95% of the time the charger doesn’t work at all

I haven’t read back far enough but is your phone in a thick case, or does the case have some metal in it ? This can affect charging.

Hi Goaty
I have a iPhone XS in an original iPhone case which is pretty thin
I have tried the phone without the case but that didn’t help either
Also tried it both ways round
And the charger errors almost every time

I’m my experience, iPhone 10/11/12 standard/pro seem to work fine as long as you put them in bottom first. I wonder if longer phones like the Max ones might work the other way up?
Only the driver’s side charges. I don’t believe any piece of Skoda literature has ever implied anything else (though some reviewers have assumed it).

Anyone got any idea what the battery symbol at the top of the ‘infotainment’ screen is for? It says battery full all the time regardless of charge levels. If it relates to my phone it’s got stuck and is misguided. Could this be why wireless charging doesn’t work
Without a photo I would say you are right and that it is do do with your phone charge. The data to show the status is transmitted via the bluetooth/USB cable and would not have anything to do with the wireless charging.
You could try un-pairing and re-pairing your phone to the car, but it's only a guide so it's only going to be so accurate.
