Do you think a spray of WD40 on the electronics module that does it would help ... ?

I've tried to find a video which has the sound but can't find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm unsure if it's a "synthetic" sound or the relays you hear, if its synthetic you may be able to tweak the volume through VCDS coding once enough people have had time to play with the Enyaq.

If its the relays nothing much you can do other than some sound deadening on around the location of the relays in question.

Might work for a well know charging company 😉

Try this one from Bjørn Nyland on Youtube where he's actually testing/demonstrating the adaptive LED headlights on the Enyaq, but right at the start he indicates to pull away and you can hear the clicking noise made by the indicators:

Thanks Scratch

Lol yeah I can see where the Clonky Donkey name comes from. I have to admit I didn't notice that on my test drive, which hopefully means it won't start annoying me!?!

The sound is not mechanical for sure. Once I had the system crashed so that radio did not work and then the indicators were mute...

So, WD40 in the speakers then ... ?

It’s definitely a synthesized ‘pip’ rather than mechanical relays. WD40 will not help here ;-)
And absolutely no benefit whatsoever with squirting WD40 on the speakers either - if anything, that might damage the speakers.

I don’t know if the sound actually comes from the audio speakers, or a dedicated little speaker module somewhere else, independent of the system audio. If it’s the latter, then it ‘might’ not be something which a firmware update later on can solve (should Skoda decide that it’s too loud).

Hey all,

I seriously wouldn’t worry about this indicator noise at all.

We both noticed how different it was when we test drove the car.

I questioned whether or not it could be turned down.

But once you own it the car it quickly becomes the norm.

I don’t even notice that it’s unusual now, it’s as if it’s become white noise.
