Dealer sense check: "Leasing orders get put to the back of the queue"

Hi all,

Test drove the Enyaq today. We liked it. Considering putting in an order and are aware of the, shall we say, 'challenging' waiting times.

Casually queried on leasing options (Our preference is to lease due to the fast-moving pace of the EV market). Dealer told us that orders for leased cars go to the 'back of the queue' and would take longer to be fulfilled compared to cash / PCP etc.

This triggered my 'dealer spider sense' so querying here.

I was told the same thing when I ordered at the end of August. They sort out retail customers first.

I’m a retail customer fwiw - they were looking to reassure me on priority.
