Six weeks later ……..

I was so upset with the ride in my beautiful Enyaq 60 iv I was contemplating trading it in. Having taken it back to the garage today I find I was driving with delivery blocks in both sides at front. The garage are mortified and recalling all their recent sales. I wouldn’t want anyone to have to go through what I have and suggest the minute have a clunk on every drain cover, seam in the road, take it back immediately. I now have the new car I should have had 6 weeks ago.

Another one, amazing. Are these suspension blocks new for 2021 or something? So many dealers seem to forget to remove them… you’d think it would be routine.

I’m glad you got it sorted. Did you suggest to them they might have left the blocks in, or did they figure it out on their own?

Yeah I am definitely confirming with my dealer that the delivery blocks are removed before accepting receipt. Read the first account about this subject on this forum a few weeks ago thinking it was a one off, definitely seems to be a thing that is missed by a good number of dealerships

I had to tell them I wanted it checked out having read stuff on here. I had ready contemplated trading it in, buying new wheels, changing tyres, and none of it necessary if some mechanic had done his job properly. The stress this caused was so unnecessary. The dealership have offered me two years free service cover which apparently as I was cash buyer I didn’t have. Also offered any extra I might like - any suggestions? I can’t understand 90% of what it does yet anyway

Mine had one left in on one side only. Dealer apologised. Judging by the apparent number being mentioned suggests its may be a general PDI issue?

Is this what it’s supposed to look like after they’ve been removed? There is something plastic on mine, but black and not particularly moveable (under the rubber shroud).
