I’ve just been out to the car to move it off charge and put the Mokka on charge and there is a problem with the sound in the Enyaq the start up chime is so loud that it almost burst my ear drum and all of the sound is coming out of the driver door speaker if you go into sound settings and change the balance to the passenger side no sound at all, tried to do a factory reset and it won’t restore the infotainment system , is this some half cocked way of Skoda doing and OTA software update has anybody else experienced this, needless to say I’m not happy as this is the 2nd fault in 3 weeks if I had wanted that I would have bought a Land Rover product :(

The indicator sound is so loud you need to wear ear plugs

So that would be just 17 minutes from posting the original fault to subsequently posting that it's all fixed.

Some kind of record I'm sure!

I had same problem and super distorted on even the lowest volume it was so loud and I’m sure it would cause damage luckily never happened again . I just left it for a while and next time I went to drive it was fine

I've just had exactly the same issue myself today. Very strange. It did go away after turning car off, and then leaving it for a while when I went shopping. Hopefully that won't happen again. I was wondering if some water had got at the electrics as I had the car parked facing uphill for a few days and it has not stopped raining.

I think it is just an EV thing though. The HVAC fans on my Renault ZOE for some reason decided to just stop working as well the same day. That just took a quick fuse pull and put back in, and they are all working fine again.

No logic for some of these issues - it's what happens when cars have become more just computers with wheels.

This is the problem when cars are more similar to the phones in our pockets than are built 20 years ago or older. A lot of great stuff but of course more to go wrong which is fixed via a software update and absolutely nothing we can do unless you happen to be a software engineer and even then (my brother is a software engineer) you have to be the right kind of software engineer to know what the hell you are doing...just read this back, God I am turning into my Dad...bloody technology 😀 😉 👍 ps I am 41 not 106 honest

Happened here as well today. Would have liked to see a Ctrl+alt+del equivalent on this 2000+ kg "mobile phone"... Which at the moment doesn't even connect to online services, so there's that. Hope I cool down until Monday for a chat with my car dealership.

Exactly the same to me this afternoon. Restored factory settings and the noise continued. Left it for 20 min and it had gone away. Loving the suggestion for a Ctrl Alt Del option!
