Yes, heat pump is (at least was when I bought) default here. iv60, and here is the latest GOM 171km (100miles), not too good, but manageable for normal daily use. Long trips not ideal (especially due to charging speed).
Hope the winter is going to be a short one :D

Thanks to all who are posting, very useful information from the real world. As a useful generalisation I found this YouTube video to be extremely informative from a long term EV user who talks common sense. It may be useful as a general guide for people. In summary he advises real world winter range on average will be around 80% of real world summer range.

One great thing I found testing on the trip was the matrix lights. Never had one before (our Volvo V70 had xenon, turning lights only). Practically the whole trip I had the auto high beam on, no complaints from oncoming traffic, and it is just so much fun watching the shadows moving. And wow that spread to the sides (even on low beam). Really great feature to have.

Anyone have any thoughts?
I’m seeing the same in my iV80 - was seeing range indicating 274 @100% in the summer, now about 215 in the 3-6 degree temperature, with reality worse once driving if not careful.

Did an M6 / M5 run and reverse yesterday from North West to South West and at 70mph with a few 60 sections for roadworks (clear run through all), but windy maybe and some rain, but alarmed to only get 2.5miles per kWh on the outward journey.

On the way back to avoid an extra charge I set the cruise at 62mph, which brought things back up to 2.9 miles per kWh.

I have a heat pump, tyres set to higher pressures and car set in eco mode. On Eco mode… has anyone else noticed a bug? I started driving and switched to Eco mode on route, the range calculator suddenly dropped 20 miles and recalculated the sat nav to add in a charge stop 😂

At least the charging is quick, but the 30% - 40% range drop in winter is making me a little concerned for year three and four with batter degradation added in to that.

Off down to Birmingham NEC today - no rain or wind, should be able to do the return journey easiky (95 miles each way) - let’s see what happens at 70…

Range reality aside - this is one amazing car. Absolutely loving it!

Anyone knows how to get the car prehearing the batteries for charging at fast chargers? Is there a trick?

I’m not sure if there’s anything we can activate prior to fast charging. I don’t know if setting a charging stop in advance ‘informs’ the system that a charge is going to take place in ‘x’ km’s or in ‘y’ minutes, so it can prime itself?

Perhaps put all the heating on maximum and ‘drive it like you stole it’ a few km’s before reaching the stop - that should warm the batteries up !! 🏎 💨 👍🤣

Hope this will be coming in the spring, this would be a great feature (other cars have) to enable fast charging really. Both ways actually: hearting and cooling.

Greetings,
Just done a long trip to Denmark, 1579 miles round trip.
Car is iv60, standard charge, panoramic roof and climate plus. Got it delivered 24/11, and set off on the journey on the 30/11
Manchester-Hull -> then ferry to Rotterdam -> 1000km to my parents north of Denmark.
Had lots of snow in Denmark for the last 60 miles (hint, take extremely good care on standard wheel, almost rubbish in snow ❄️)
The return route was less eventful, until 30 miles from home, when storm Barra starts its arrival - down the m62 the GOM don’t know what to do or say….

Anyway, had an average of the whole trip on 2.8mi/kWh in temperatures ranging from -4 to +6, motorway speeds was maintained at 65-72 mph when going, and 70-78 mph going back, loaded with luggage and goods coming back, too.
I can’t complain over this magnificent car's performance

As a little follow up, my 80% range was usually around 235km - or 145 miles
