Was in Glasgow today and the in built sat nav had all the buildings in 3d, yet for the prev 5 weeks driving about the sticks never had this feature.
Is it more the fact that major city has more development to the maps than provincial areas.
Sat nav question?

I use quite a lot of different mapping software for navigation, work (rural and urban) and recreationally (hiking etc) and yes I would say where a 3D function exists the accuracy and prevelance of these feature is generally better in large cities compared to rural areas.
Out of interest how accurate was the in-built navigation for Glasgow City centre's one-way system? (If you were in City centre)

That in itself is no mean feat. The roads are all one way and single lanes out of 4 lanes in the city centre and it’s getting worse. So that’s good to know it’s up to the task.frankfurterbear1 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 11:27 amI was in and around city centre, back of St Enochs centre at Howard Street getting pcr tests for travel and it was spot on.Beninscotland wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 10:47 am I use quite a lot of different mapping software for navigation, work (rural and urban) and recreationally (hiking etc) and yes I would say where a 3D function exists the accuracy and prevelance of these feature is generally better in large cities compared to rural areas.
