Can't believe a near 50k car doesnt have rear USB sockets as standard, but heyho...

Looking to fit them myself. Can anybody say wether or not this might be the right part?

Many thanks

This is a picture of the part number you listed ( two actually - showing front and rear).

It looks like the correct one as its the only dual usb-C module available for VAG vehicles. But I cannot find any drawings for the Enyaq showing or listing the actual module. I'm assuming its the same as the front one.

You'll also need the mounting bezel and the wiring loom with connectors. Oh and somewhere to connect it too !

Hello

I just went for a cheap after market socket

It works really well and has a standard USB and a USB C

I went for one with an on and off switch and wired it into a permanent live in the fuse box so I can charge a device with the car switched off and locked which is useful

Yes really easy to fit

If anyone decides to do the same just fit it low (as mine is) otherwise it may not fit in the space behind the socket as there is an air tube there for the ventilation

Wonder how the hell they manage to fit that great big original twin USB module in the back of the centre console then :o

Good point it looks big doesn’t it

Mine fitted fine but I don’t think you could get anything bigger in there

There might be a different air flow pipe that goes with the usb socket (that cleverly goes round it maybe)

I think I prefer your option as a retrofit any day.

Well done :)

Another alternative given the air duct might be to use panel mount extension cables, with the actual unit further away. I do this a lot with electronics projects so I can put an Arduino when I want it in a box, then a 15cm USB male to panel mount female on the front of the box.
