Am I right that the 12v socket at the back of the car doesn’t seems to cut off it’s power Ben after the car is locked or stopped.

Is there a way to cut the power off? Installed a rear cam using that socket and it seems to be keep on recording.

Thanks.

I don’t know about the Enyaq in particular, but a few years ago we managed to drain the battery on our Volvo XC60 with a 12v cool bag plugged into the rear socket while on a ferry crossing the Irish Sea.

As a result, I‘ve always assumed this was standard behaviour on most cars.

Simply move fuse 52 (supply to boot mounted socket) to the upper empty part of its location in the under dashboard fusebox. The rear 12v socket will then only become live with ignition on.

Sorry to be a pain but which fuse did you move. I looked at the fuse box in the glove box and the fuse mentioned above wasn’t there.

Thanks

Not all the fuse locations are occupied. Number 52 is that yellow 20A fuse near the bottom of your photo.
