Hi, hoping someone can help. Had my Enyaq nearly 18 months and am having some charging issues. I have a zappi charger (for which the app has never worked but no biggy) and use intelligent octopus go. I set my charging schedule through the car to be between 2330 and 0530 to charge to 80%. Most of the time this works fine.
I had problems around this time last year when it would only charge about 20% at a time and then an issue where none of the lights worked so it went to the dealer for a week and came back fixed.
Since then most of the time it charged fine but now is doing it again, only charging 20% or so. I get messages on my phone every night I put it on charge from both skoda and octopus that it won’t be able to charge, but most of the time it does and on the odd occasion it doesn’t.
The skoda message mentions privacy settings that can only be changed in the infotainment system on the car which I’ve tried to do but buggered if I can work out what to do.
Any help gratefully received.
Charging problems
As I understand it you should not be setting a schedule on the car at all if you are using IOG, it is supposed to be intelligently scheduled via the octopus app. Recently people seem to have been getting additional cheap charge slots outside the 11:30 - 5:30 standard off peak times, so could it be that there is conflict?
I would suggest integrating IOG through the Zappi and NOT through the car as this seems to be more reliable from what I have read (Check out a facebook group called "Zappi Integration with Intelligent Octopus Go Tariff").

Although Octopus may schedule charging within the core 6 off peak hours it often uses additional time. Over the last year Octopus has on average given an additional 1.5 hours per charge for my Enyaq, with a peak of 4.5 hours. Last night when I topped up 30% charge it used 1 hour outside the core and 2.5 hours in the core so only 20% was added within the 23:30 to 05:30 off peak time.whiphound wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:46 am As I understand it you should not be setting a schedule on the car at all if you are using IOG, it is supposed to be intelligently scheduled via the octopus app. Recently people seem to have been getting additional cheap charge slots outside the 11:30 - 5:30 standard off peak times, so could it be that there is conflict?

Only one thing should be controlling charging at a time. If using Intelligent Octopus Go smart charging then there should be no charger or car schedules set. If you want to use the car schedule then IOG smart charging should be turned off, however you should periodically use the IOG smart charging as the Octopus terms and conditions would allow them to take you off the tariff if you are not using it some of the time. Uxing ghe Octopus/Zappi integration does avoid the potential for charging to fail due to Skoda server/communications issues!
