I thought it might be useful to post the boot dimensions for people thinking of buying an Enyaq. The volume in litres isn’t generally much use when you’re wondering if something like dog crates or a box will fit.
This is for an Enyaq with Transport Pack, so raised boot floor (flush with back bumper) in the unlifted position. All dimensions in centimetres and to mid points where possible.
Width between arches 100
Depth to top of back seats 70
Depth to bottom of back seats 96
Depth seats folded 183
Height of door opening 73
Height to load cover 57
Please feel free to add other measurements

This is good information! I would also add depth from the bumper to the ground. Ie how high the dog has to jump.
We have a 58 kilo Leonberger, so she has to be able to jump in, since she is far too heavy to lift!
We went to the showroom with a tape measure, and spent quite some time doing all of these measurements before even getting in to the car: If the dog didn’t fit, it would be no good for us. The sales staff were bewildered by our behaviour!
I have noticed a trend towards very high tailgate sills, which take many vehicles out of our reckoning.

Ground to boot floor is about 56cm. Parked on gravel at the moment so that might not be totally accurate! Also mine is a Sportline - could be 2cm higher on a normal 80 or 60.

We have a sprocker spaniel & we took her crate with us & put it in the back of the car before we went out on a test drive. She also sleeps in a large crate in the house so to save taking it down I made a cardboard mock up of the crate folded up to try in the back with the seats down as we take this one with us when we go away on holiday.Daverichardson wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 12:22 pm This is good information! Sprocker is a similar size to our Smooth Collies (maybe not as tall and a bit wider, but not that dissimilar overall) - you should have no issues with a crate in the boot. This is what I have - those are steel framed folding soft crates, the same as they have when on the show benches. So they settle in them nicely. The load cover locks them into place at the rear too, so once that's in place they can't move (in other cars I bungie cord them down). I did have to modify the crates slightly to make them 50cm wide, but I did that for my previous two cars as 100cm seems quite a common width for boots.

Although my Wife disagrees, I would describe the Enyaq as a large Estate rather than a proper SUV and the boot lip is definitely much lower than our Karoq was, one of our dogs who would never jump into the back of the Karoq now jumps straight in as soon as we changed.Daverichardson wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 12:22 pm This is good information! Skoda sent out an email at Christmas which gave quite a handy boot size comparison which indicated the Enyaq was very similar inside to an Octavia Estate

The car crate fitted into the demonstrator perfectly, if it hadn't we would have been looking at something else. I'm just chomping at the bit to get ours now, even though its months away yet, possibly even January next year

If you have the electric boot option, you can set how far it opens - open boot, grab it and hold it where you want it to stop, hold button until it beeps. Now it’ll only open that far.
If I get chance I’ll measure the maximum opening tomorrow.
