It was like someone turned something in this week and it went crazy;

Bonhams interior design? Weird

Mind you better than another forum I was on (golf one- the game not the car) where all ads seemed to be Viagra or Russian brides 😂

/\ aren’t the adverts shown, indicative of one’s previous search history…. ? 🤔

…. Or do ‘they’ assume golfers are a demographic which may need a little ’help’ - or are most likely to be in the midst of a mid-life crisis?

😂👍

I think its a safe bet with those of who play golf! Don’t need cookies to work that one out…..

You can get a lots of clubs in the back of the Enyaq by the way - not tried how many Russian brides I can get in the boot yet.

Laptop/desktop web browsers generally have advert blockers. Mobile phone browsers generally don't (because mobile browsers prioritise using minimum data, as well as having less cpu and memory resources). I believe there are browsers with ad blockers for Android and iOS - I haven't really looked though.

I tend to do most of my browsing of forums on my laptop, partly because I'm rubbish at typing on my phone (not great on a laptop either, but the backspace key is larger :D) - having an ad blocker is one of the other reasons though.

Try this:
https://adblockplus.org/android-install
It's an Android App afaik that you would use instead of your normal browser on your Android device. It's from the people who make ABP for desktop, so would think it's pretty good at blocking ads. That said, a plugin for Chrome would be neater as I'm sure most people on an Android device just default to using that? Can't try it myself as we're all Apple in this household (nothing wrong with Android though!)

For those on iOS, try AdGuard - free App on the Apple Appstore, but it will try to get you to sign up for their 'Premium' service. It does however work with Safari, so just lets you continue with what most people use.

Hope that helps!

I use Firefox with the uBlock Origin add-on.

I use that ad blocker on all my android devices (phones and tablets) and my Linux desktop

Works well I find even just using the default black/white lists
