Don't know if anyone's seen this, a petition has been started to try and get the VAT value of public chargers reduced to 5% as per domestic rates.
Might not achieve anything but worth a go, if it comes off it would reduce a full 0-100% charge by around £3 on Gridserves charger

Would be nice but also got to be careful what you wish for. I imagine eventually it will go the other way and electric used for household car chargers will go up to 20%. Got to recoup fuel duty somewhere, isnt the 5% to assist people with affording essential heating/hot water/etc.
