80x working well as a Farm Vet's car

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a few pics of my month-owned Enyaq 80x that I use for work.

Being a farm vet's car, it's fully loaded in the boot with kit and has to navigate a lot of single-track roads and muddy/rocky farm tracks.

It's been handling its duties very well and I've been very impressed with its off-road ability (at least equal to my previous Octavia Scout).

Overnight charging gives me full range every morning and when on-call (and often driving / attending call all night) an hours break and a snooze at a 50kW charger (the fastest we have in Herefordshire) keeps plenty of range in the battery.

I've also been relieved at how my farming clients have responded - the vast majority are fascinated and amazed that an EV can cope with the life of a vet's car!

Nice ! Definitely a future potential contender for the ‘filthiest Enyaq thread’, given the conditions you’ll be driving in !

Were there any other EV’s you considered for this role, or was the Enyaq the obvious choice ?

I always figured these kind of jobs would be using the likes of Outlander PHEV I have been proven wrong haha.

I had considered anything that would have been suitable but the 80x was the only one that fitted the bill:

Range >250 miles - most days driving 150 miles, often followed by a night on call (when I can't guarantee a full charge at home) and than in to another 150 mile day.
Boot at least as big as my previous Octavia Scout
4X4
Decent ground clearance at least as good as the Scout

Ideally would have had an estate rather than an SUV but none available yet!

The only other car that nearly fitted was the id4 GTX but the boot is smaller and I prefer the styling of the Enyaq over the id4.

That is fabulous. I've been waiting since Nov 21 for my 80x - I want to be able to tow with the EV and this was our choice. These pics and seeing the car as a workhorse for your job is very encouraging.
