Charge Limits

Set my charge limit to the usual recommended limit of 80% and having completed 250 mile holiday trip charged the battery to 80% using a granny charger. Have not used the car for a few days so was surprised when I got into it that the battery percentage had mysteriously increased by 1% to 81%. Previously the car has always charged to the charge limit set - the only difference this time is that it has been unused for a longer period than normal.

Perhaps the warmer daytime temperatures may have added the extra 1%?

If you charged it to 80% when it was cold and, while not using it, the temperature has increased, it effectively has given you more available charge.

Wow, you must have one of those mythical self-charging hybrids then!
