Best granny charger

Hi folks,

I need a granny charger. I see recommendations for masterplug at 199
You can also get the Mode 2 official Skoda one for 219 from a dealership.
RING Automotive do one with variable amps including a hard carry case and extended warranty for 219 minus 10% which sounds good.
I'm tempted by the Ring one.
Amy recommendations or views welcome.

Very happy with the Masterplug one - we used it extensively during the summer at relatives’ overseas.

Get one that can select the charge rate:
Search for 3rd Rock Energy
iV80 Lounge, Heat Pump, 125kW charging, Tow bar
Previous EVs: Leaf 40 (x2), Leaf 30, Leaf 24. EVing since 2014.

I’ve got the 3rd rock ones too. So far so good and can reduce the power output which is handy for overnight charging

Another one for the 3rd Rock one, using ours since Sept 2021 faultless.
Skoda Enyaq 80 Sportline collected 29/09/21. Quartz grey metallic, Pan roof, tow bar, 125 charging, Comfort seat, Drive Sport+, Climate pack+, Assisted Drive, Parking, Light and View and Convenience pack.

Got the master plug myself when initially got the car and didn’t have a wall box to charge. It’s fine - 10m length is handy.

Used on a few staycation places and been huge money saver.

I would suggest using a plug adaptor is a very bad idea given the power ratings involved.

If you want to go this route, i would get a short extension lead with a shucko plug and a 13A trailing socket, made using 1.5mm cable and quality accessories.
