Really? I left mine plugged in a few hours ago, ok so far! But I'll not leave it in again if that is likely to happen?
Yep - it did it twice; might be a coincidence but it’d never happened before, so I’m pretty sure it’s the OBD dongle. It did happen soon after locking so you might be okay if you’ve got past the first few minutes. Very easy to fit though, ahead of a journey.

You need to disconnect the connection from whatever app that is connecting to the dongle. I had the same issue.
While keeping a connection with the dongle somehow keeps the dongle alive
‘Scuse the mess . Just under the dash, on the right hand side (in the RHD Enyaq).
Thank you. I may just try that. I’ve read that there’s no harm in leaving them plugged in all the time, but they can slowly draw on the battery so just make sure it’s not left for months without use (good advice regardless I believe).
Also BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) is light on security isn't it? Do you have to pair it with the phone?
I've read some dongles are wide open, so anyone passing by your parked car could muck around with your car if the dongle was left plugged in unattended
The dongle gets no power if the car is powered down so it won’t be visible to anyone connecting if left in.

Got car scanner working today. Interestingly the battery reports it's maximum DC current that it's willing to accept.
You can see here, my car at ~35% soc and 8c battery temp is happy to accept 205A.
205A * 390v gives a bit under 80kw which seems reasonable enough to me.
Need to pull readings at lower and higher temperature to build a picture. Those having issues with low speeds I would suggest you get yourselves an obd dongle and take some readings of your own.
The good thing with this is you can immediately see if the cars happy to accept 200a but it's only charging at
120A then it's a charger issue, not a car issue!
Tadaaa, managed to find my way through it
Now, looking on our numbers, it looks like we both are down to about 52kwh usable - nearly 12% decline after 15 months.
Should we think this is normal?

Which of these numbers gives you that data?
Sportline, Artic Silver, parking+, infotainment+, convenience+, family basic, assisted drive+, climate+, towbar
Ordered 20th December 2021, mine 21st March 2023
Charger: Zappi

72.1% of 37.275Wh equals 0.517 for 1%. Multiply with 100 gives 51.7 kWh
51.7 up in 58 gives 89% - ergo a drop on 11% for mine, and if I remember correctly, the other numbers gave 88%
This I can then back up with another screen from the app, showing max possible charge is 55,2 kWh
